Every house has substantial vegetable gardens and composting.  It is a core mission of co-op life to support local food production.  Members grow food for their house in their own house gardens.

Growing your own vegetables is a direct way to lower the cost of healthy living.  It is also a way encourage locally sourced food. Growing your own food  reflects and projects core values of health and cultivation to the community.

Co-op life has developed its own CSA to further the core mission of using suburban yards to grow and distribute food. Each house contributes  15% of their production to an additional half acre sourced at the elm street farm and Park street gardens.

Co-op life members have the opportunity to work on behalf of the CSA.
